Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Remote or onsite in Armenia, Cyprus, or Poland

What you will do

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable web applications.
• Design and implement efficient high-load APIs and microservices.
• Improve application performance, responsiveness, security, and data protection.
• Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade, and document existing software and system architecture.
• Participate in code reviews and improve development practices.
• Track emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to backend engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience and strong Python proficiency.
• Knowledge of concurrency, parallelism, object-oriented programming, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with FastAPI, RESTful APIs, microservices, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, AWS, cloud architecture, serverless development, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, observability, and reliability patterns including structured logging, metrics, traces, OpenTelemetry, circuit breakers, backoff, and idempotency.

Nice to have

• Startup experience.
• Experience with message brokers such as NATS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
