What you will do

• Support preparedness, emergency management, homeland defense, and national security activities for the Assistant Secretary of War for Homeland Defense.
• Conduct research and analysis to support mission requirements and organizational priorities.
• Develop and coordinate planning and programmatic materials.
• Interpret and apply Federal requirements to mission activities.
• Develop acquisition and contracting documentation, including Performance Work Statements and Statements of Work.
• Coordinate with headquarters and other Federal stakeholders and prepare briefings, reports, correspondence, and other materials for senior leadership.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or two years of relevant preparedness, emergency management, or national security experience in lieu of the degree.
• At least two years of experience in preparedness, emergency management, or another national security area.
• Strong analytical, research, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting senior-level stakeholders.
• Ability to develop clear, concise written products and briefings.

Nice to have

• Three years of experience working within a headquarters organization in the Department of War or Department of Homeland Security.
• Experience working with Federal requirements.
• Experience supporting senior Federal leaders or executive-level organizations.
