Senior System Administrator (Unix)

What you will do

• Install, configure, provision, patch, and maintain Unix servers and core software.
• Administer Red Hat Linux systems and assist with IBM AIX and Oracle Solaris environments.
• Monitor system health, resources, logs, processes, performance, and capacity trends.
• Provide initial technical support, troubleshoot Unix networking and application protocols, and escalate complex issues.
• Perform backup and recovery operations and test disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
• Support change control, configuration management, monitoring, automation, and operational documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience and training.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience administering Red Hat Linux systems.
• Working knowledge of Unix infrastructure, system monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, backups, and recovery.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with IBM AIX, Red Hat Linux, and Oracle Solaris 10 administration.
• RHCE, IBM AIX Certified Administrator, or Solaris Certified Administrator certification.
