VP, Head of Liquidity & Exchange Services (Crypto)

Location: Remote within a 1-hour driving radius of Chicago or New York office hubs; candidates must be based in the United States and able to travel to team hubs. UK/Amsterdam hubs are referenced for EMEA.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end digital asset liquidity and exchange services strategy and operations across CLOB and RFQ trading systems.
• Develop strategies to attract and maintain deep liquidity, identify trading pairs, create incentives, and scale liquidity services globally.
• Build relationships with market makers, liquidity providers, stablecoin issuers, and distribution partners; negotiate terms and manage partner performance.
• Lead liquidity operations, settlement optimization, OTC trading execution, asset configuration, and listing coordination across venues and jurisdictions.
• Monitor market depth, order book quality, LP uptime, asset support, and trading volume; produce recurring reports for executives and platform partners.
• Identify liquidity risks, ensure AML and regulatory compliance, and present findings and recommendations to executive leadership.

Requirements

• 12–15+ years of progressive experience leading exchange or liquidity services, liquidity strategy, liquidity operations, or related functions.
• 5–8+ years of FinTech experience and direct crypto or digital asset experience; experience at a major crypto exchange is preferred within the stated requirement, while banking or brokerage infrastructure experience is a strong plus.
• Proven experience in trading, market making, or liquidity management within traditional financial markets and cryptocurrencies or stablecoins.
• Track record of building and scaling functions from scratch, including establishing teams and processes.
• Strong analytical skills, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to work both with executive-level presentations and detailed spreadsheet analysis.
• Experience driving AI or major technology adoption within an operating business, ideally at scale.
• Strong market maker and liquidity provider relationship management experience.
• Excellent executive communication skills, including presenting to C-suite and board-level audiences.
• Must be based in the United States and able to travel to team hubs.
