Cloud Application Development Engineer

Location: Penang, Malaysia; hybrid work model with regular on-site and off-site work

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy applications for industry and hybrid cloud environments.
• Build cloud-native applications using Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud frameworks and tools.
• Design DevSecOps solutions that improve automation, security, and operational efficiency.
• Build and manage microservices architectures with Kubernetes and containerization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud applications and services.
• Deliver cloud-based systems using Agile methodologies and ensure compliance with information security protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud application development and architecture.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as C#, Angular, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, software containerization, cloud-native design, databases, and network or data management.
• Ability to work across frontend, mid-tier, and backend development using Azure frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with DevSecOps processes, automation tools, and frameworks.
• Experience applying Agile methodologies across requirements, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Familiarity with responsive design for mobile, PC, and server platforms.
