TL;DR
Software Engineer Intern (C#/.NET, SQL): Designing and developing software applications for modular MES solutions with an accent on requirements analysis, testing, debugging, and technical documentation. Focus on translating user requirements into design specifications, collaborating on software design, and performing basic troubleshooting.
Location: Bayan Baru, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia; on-site
Company
develops modular MES software for Industry 4.0 operations across semiconductor, electronics, medical device, and other discrete industries, as part of ASMPT.
What you will do
- Design and develop software applications from requirements and specifications.
- Test, commission, debug, and troubleshoot software applications.
- Collaborate on software design and identify project issues.
- Capture and evaluate customer and internal requirements and translate them into design specifications.
- Develop technical reports, process flow diagrams, design analyses, and project documentation.
- Maintain project documentation and follow good software design and development practices.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum CGPA of 3.3/4.0.
- Minimum internship duration: 5 months.
Nice to have
- Application development with C# and .NET.
- Relational databases and T-SQL.
- Git or other source control tools.
- Web development with ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, and Angular.
- SSRS, object-oriented programming, and MVC concepts.
