Transactional Accountant (Software)

Location: Remote - Hungary

hirify.global acquires, manages, and builds enterprise software companies serving vertical markets as part of Jonas Software and Constellation Software.

What you will do

• Process, verify, post, and reconcile supplier invoices and statements in the ERP system.
• Prepare supplier payments, resolve discrepancies, and respond to supplier queries.
• Reconcile bank, customer, and supplier accounts, including foreign currency transactions.
• Support sales invoicing, cash allocation, customer balance monitoring, and collection activities.
• Assist with Hungarian VAT returns, statutory tax reports, month-end close, and management accounting handovers.
• Improve finance processes and systems and support the integration of newly acquired business units.

Requirements

• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or transactional accounting.
• Experience with bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations and local Hungarian bookkeeping requirements.
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems is required; Novitax and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience is advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and an analytical, commercially aware approach.
• Fluent Hungarian and good working proficiency in English are required.
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or an accounting qualification, is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience preparing Hungarian VAT returns and supporting reconciliations.
• Experience with Novitax or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Hungarian Chartered Accountant qualification.
