Senior Software Engineer, Information Security

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Provide advanced support for engineering security services by troubleshooting issues and maintaining code and configurations through version control.
• Analyze systems and business processes to design and implement security solutions aligned with technical and business requirements.
• Lead the technical design, development, testing, and debugging of security programs and scripts.
• Monitor system performance, alerts, and vulnerabilities, and implement security improvements.
• Collaborate with Embedded Software, Platform, Cloud, DevOps, and incident response teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
• Support secure development standards, threat modeling, security assessments, regulatory compliance, open-source license audits, and Software Bill of Materials generation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5 years of information technology experience within the past 10 years, or 7 years of relevant information technology experience within the past 10 years.
• Experience in information security engineering and vulnerability management within software development environments.
• Knowledge of application security practices, including Dynamic Application Security Testing and Static Application Security Testing.
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and security integration throughout development phases.
• Expertise in automation and scripting, particularly Python, plus version control for code and configuration management.
• Ability to analyze complex systems, design effective security solutions, and troubleshoot security incidents.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, Security+, GCIH, GCED, GCIA, GSEC, or related credentials.
• Experience leading technical teams, working with mainframe technology, SAP, SQL, or programming languages such as Java, C/C++, .NET, Rexx, Cobol, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
