Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States

Salary: $131,000–$184,000 per year, plus potential stock options.

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing payloads, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses.

What you will do

  • Develop reliable flight software governing spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
  • Write structured bare-metal, RTOS, or Linux-based software for embedded processors in C++.
  • Own software design, testing, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Scope open-ended projects through requirements capture, initial design, and engineering tradeoffs.
  • Collaborate with the Flight Software team to solve problems and maintain system quality and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
  • Strong C++ development experience and understanding of core language concepts.
  • Must work on-site in El Segundo, California.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

  • End-to-end experience building and launching a spacecraft.
  • Experience developing and testing real-time embedded systems and aerospace safety-critical software.
  • Experience with CCSDS telemetry and telecommand systems, F' or cFS frameworks.
  • Experience with Python or Rust and knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Familiarity with SPI, I2C, CAN, or EtherCAT.
