Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States. Candidates must be lawfully authorized to work in the U.S. and qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR requirements.
Salary: $169,000β$216,000 annually, plus potential stock options.

What you will do
- Develop reliable flight software controlling spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules throughout complete missions.
- Write structured bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux-based software for embedded processors in C++.
- Own software design, development, testing, integration, verification, and validation.
- Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
- Support system quality and performance through software testing and V&V.
- Collaborate with the flight software team to communicate, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- 5+ years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Strong C++ development experience and understanding of core language concepts.
- U.S. work authorization and U.S. person status are required for access to export-controlled technology.
Nice to have
- End-to-end experience building and launching a spacecraft.
- Experience developing and testing real-time embedded systems or aerospace safety-critical software.
- Experience with CCSDS telemetry and telecommand systems, Fβ, or cFS.
- Experience with Python or Rust and knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
- Familiarity with SPI, I2C, CAN, or EtherCAT.
