Senior Customer Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: Distributed within the United States; available location: Cincinnati, Ohio

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery with Account Executives and design bespoke enterprise architectures.
• Deliver product demonstrations and Proofs of Concept across security, networking, and developer platforms.
• Guide technical onboarding, implementation, adoption, customer health, and integration risk management.
• Own technical relationships throughout onboarding, renewal, expansion, and ongoing account growth.
• Carry a variable quota and identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities using product usage data.
• Use AI agents and internal platforms to automate RFP responses, security questionnaires, sandbox provisioning, and telemetry monitoring.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Broad expertise in web security, routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Experience operating in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with knowledge of SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills, including communication with C-suite executives.
• Must be authorized to receive technology controlled under U.S. export-control laws without sponsorship for an export license.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize, or other hirify.global developer platform capabilities.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages for integrations, API connectors, and edge functions.
