Senior Principal Piping Stress Engineer

What you will do

• Establish the piping stress design basis, philosophy, specifications, standards, and execution guidelines for project load cases.
• Prepare critical line lists, schedules, progress controls, stress calculations, visual reviews, stress isometrics, and stress reports.
• Perform static, fatigue, environmental, blast, transportation, module lift, and vibration analyses using CAESAR II.
• Develop stress solutions for critical topside and deck piping connected to compressors, turbines, pumps, vessels, separators, heat exchangers, and pipe racks.
• Select spring hangers, expansion joints, and special supports, and prepare the related data sheets.
• Review vendor drawings, IFC isometrics, pipe supports, and equipment loads; check and approve calculations and coordinate with the Piping Lead Engineer.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in piping stress checks and support design.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas, FPSO, offshore platform, petrochemical, or refinery industries.
• At least 10 years working as a Senior Piping Stress Engineer or Lead Stress Engineer on FPSO or offshore platform projects.
• Familiarity with ANSI, ASME, and API piping stress standards, plus knowledge of NORSOK, UKCS, and Australian standards.
• Experience with piping layout, design, pipe supports, E3D, and S3D, along with interface knowledge of process, structural, naval, and safety engineering.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
