Process Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Penang, Malaysia; office-based role

What you will do

• Sustain production lines through SPC/FDC monitoring, CPK improvement, and troubleshooting of process and tool issues.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on process robustness, cost efficiency, and manufacturing capacity.
• Develop and optimize process recipes for new and existing semiconductor technologies.
• Apply big data analytics, statistical analysis, and structured problem-solving methods to improve process performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, other fabs, and OEM suppliers to converge best-known methods for recipes, materials, methods, and Industry 4.0 automation.
• Support production ramps through process qualification, productivity improvements, new tool releases, and coaching Associate Engineers.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and independent-working skills.
• Ability to learn new skills, take initiative, and provide operational support.
• Experience or knowledge in big data analysis and AI/ML; Python coding is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of wafer fabrication.
• Interest in job rotation and overseas assignments.
• Experience contributing to patents, technical papers, or technical seminars.
