Machine Learning Research Scientist, Post-Training (AI)

Salary: $180,600–$225,750 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Research and develop post-training techniques including supervised fine-tuning, RLHF, and reward modeling for large language models.
• Improve model capabilities across text and multimodal modalities.
• Design and test new approaches to preference optimization.
• Analyze model behavior, identify weaknesses, and develop solutions for bias mitigation and robustness.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and foundation model labs on technical and strategic model-development practices.
• Publish research findings at leading AI conferences.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or master's degree in computer science, machine learning, AI, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of deep learning, reinforcement learning, and large-hirify.global model fine-tuning.
• Experience with RLHF, preference modeling, instruction tuning, or related post-training techniques.
• Published machine learning research in major conferences or journals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous customer-facing experience.
