VP, Credit Acquisition Strategy

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; currently remote with required regular commuting to the nearest Hub for business or team meetings, training, and culture events

Salary: $135,000–$230,000 annual, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead portfolio, product, and client-level credit acquisition strategies that balance risk reduction and portfolio growth.
• Develop strategic and tactical action plans by analyzing data from multiple sources to identify risks and opportunities.
• Lead acquisition strategy initiatives, enhancements, testing, control processes, and pre-implementation reviews.
• Evaluate vendors and tools for credit and fraud risk mitigation in partnership with the Fraud team.
• Build monitoring systems to compare challenger strategies and apply champion/challenger learnings.
• Communicate strategic initiatives and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of strategic risk management experience, or 9+ years of equivalent experience without a degree.
• 3+ years of experience developing risk strategies.
• 3+ years of proficient SAS programming experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAS VA, Model Builder Decision Tree, and Knowledge Studio.
• Experience with data analytics, large data sets, and advanced programming in C++, R, or Python.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Sqoop, machine learning, AI, or statistical algorithms.
• Strategic leadership experience in cross-functional teams.
• Master’s degree or MBA with an advanced analytics focus.
