TL;DR
Team Lead Piping Engineer (Oil & Gas piping): Leading piping engineering and design for process and utilities systems in medium- to large-scale plant and infrastructure projects with an accent on FEED, detailed engineering, design integrity, and client technical coordination. Focus on developing work plans and design bases, reviewing plot plans and equipment layouts, guiding teams of 10–20 engineers and designers, and delivering piping scopes on schedule and within budget.

What you will do

  • Lead a team of approximately 10–20 piping engineers and designers.
  • Develop discipline work plans, bases of design, and work-hour estimates.
  • Provide technical leadership to project teams and client representatives.
  • Participate in technical reviews of plot plans, equipment layouts, piping layouts, and related systems.
  • Lead technical presentations for clients and their representatives.
  • Maintain piping design integrity, staff performance, schedule adherence, and budget control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 15 years of experience in conceptual, FEED, and detailed design of plants and facilities; 20 years of experience is required in the overall summary.
  • Experience in oil and gas, hydrocarbon, petroleum refinery, offshore, onshore, and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of design and construction practices, procedures, and industry standards including ASME, NFPA, and API.
  • Experience with plot plans, equipment and piping layouts, stress analysis, material selection, fire-water protection, and drain system philosophies.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards and procedures.
