What you will do

• Design reinforcement learning (RL) use cases from scratch to optimize real business value and marketing journeys.
• Build and manage the complete ML pipeline, from raw data transformation to model training and activation.
• Provide ongoing technical guidance to customers to ensure successful AI adoption and measurable outcomes.
• Develop new features and tools to scale the capabilities of the AI deployment team.
• Partner with the Product team to advance reinforcement learning algorithms.
• Contribute to the hirify.globalAI product strategy and roadmap using customer-facing insights.

Requirements

• Must be based in Tokyo to work in a hybrid setup.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Engineering (Master's or PhD preferred).
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer working with large-scale data and production environments.
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas) and core ML libraries (TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, CatBoost, XGBoost).
• Strong SQL skills for dataset manipulation and experience in model deployment.
• Adherence to engineering best practices including Git, CI/CD, and testing frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps tools such as Airflow, Kubernetes, Terraform, or GCP.
• Expertise in data integration, ETL, and pipeline optimization.
• Practical knowledge of reinforcement learning algorithms.
