Head of Financial Systems (FinTech)

What you will do

• Define the strategy and roadmap for ERP, sub-ledgers, reporting, reconciliation, and financial automation platforms.
• Build and lead a lean Financial Systems team, including hiring, performance management, mentoring, and career development.
• Drive finance transformation from process discovery and prototyping through production implementation.
• Own ERP integrations, data models, customizations, migrations, and upgrade planning.
• Develop scalable data pipelines connecting finance systems with data warehouses and BI tools.
• Govern controls, audit readiness, UAT, release management, vendor relationships, and build-versus-buy decisions.

Requirements

• 12–15+ years of experience across finance operations, systems, and technology leadership, ideally in FinTech, financial services, or fast-paced technology environments.
• Deep expertise with NetSuite, SAP, or Workday, including integrations, data migrations, and platform strategy.
• Hands-on proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or VBA, with the ability to prototype solutions directly.
• Production experience deploying AI/ML or RPA in finance, including journal-entry automation, reconciliation, anomaly detection, or reporting.
• Experience leading lean, high-output teams and influencing CFO-level stakeholders while collaborating with engineering.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, audit requirements, and financial data integrity.
