Data Solution Architect (Data & AI)

Location: Seoul, South Korea; hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office and up to 50% work from home

What you will do

• Translate customer business requirements into systems, applications, process designs, and enterprise-scale data architectures.
• Gather stakeholder and business sponsor insights to define projects, requirements, constraints, and delivery approaches.
• Document architecture decisions, requirements traceability, assumptions, and the business value of proposed solutions.
• Guide design, build, deployment, and technical governance in collaboration with project managers, account teams, and delivery teams.
• Advocate for customers and share evidence-based insights with product engineering teams to improve Microsoft technologies and services.
• Lead virtual, multidisciplinary teams addressing complex customer and technology challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years, or equivalent experience.
• For the extended experience profile: bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 8+ years, or equivalent experience.
• Enterprise-scale experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure, data migrations, cloud-native data warehouses, storage optimization, and query optimization.
• Experience with transactional, temporal, time-series, structured, and unstructured data; data modeling; SQL development; database administration; and data integration.
• Experience with Azure and technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Explorer, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, Azure ML, TensorFlow, DevOps, and MLOps.
• Experience managing multiple projects or portfolios, leading multidisciplinary teams, technical sales, project management, and people management.
