Senior Configuration Manager (Space Systems)

Location: On-site in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. Travel up to 30%; standard working hours.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and sustain configuration management procedures covering engineering changes, program baselines, support processes, and technical documentation.
• Perform data research and analysis and prepare spreadsheets, reports, status documents, and briefing materials.
• Track program, capability, interface, and configuration status, including configuration status accounting and progress reporting.
• Support requirements definition, interface documentation, software and hardware management plans, licenses, and technical data accountability.
• Integrate open architecture, enterprise ground, and universal C2/interface standards for technology refresh, interoperability, and mission system integration.
• Coordinate configuration and integration working groups, mission partners, engineering teams, program management, and Government stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, applied science, systems engineering, configuration management, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in DoD/IC, Government, or industry configuration management, systems engineering, system integration, engineering data management, ground systems, or space mission systems.
• Experience with technical baselines, engineering change control, configuration status accounting, system and subsystem integration, interface documentation, and technical reporting.
• Understanding of space operational environments, mission-user needs, space systems engineering, development, integration, and manufacturing concepts.
• Experience with DoD program management, Integrated Master Schedules, risk management, SOW/PWS interpretation, transition activities, technical writing, and briefings.

Nice to have

• Prior SETA support to a Government program office.
• Five or more years of SAP and/or SCI experience.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, ACAT I/II acquisition programs, integrated air/space/cyber capabilities, and classified mission environments.
• Experience supporting exercises, training materials, operational procedures, system acceptance planning, interface control working groups, or operational test and readiness activities.
