Wind Turbine Technician Electrical and M (Wind Energy)

Location: Onsite in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada; occasional travel to other wind parks in the region or across Canada is required.

Salary: CAD 25.50–35.50 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbine systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and implement appropriate repairs or modifications.
• Support preventive maintenance schedules and use diagnostic tools to resolve equipment issues.
• Document work, equipment, and materials digitally using tablets and smartphones.
• Follow quality, health, and safety procedures, and contribute to continuous safety improvements.
• Inspect hirify.global vehicles, attend ongoing training, and travel for planned maintenance at other sites.

Requirements

• Technical degree or certification in electromechanics, electricity, or wind turbine maintenance.
• Demonstrated electrical or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office, and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces, with knowledge of first aid and practical height rescue procedures.
• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and technical diagrams and schematics.
• Availability for overtime, weekend on-call duty, occasional travel, and planned trips of several days to other maintenance sites.

Nice to have

• Journeyman electrician certification with a Red Seal.
