Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

Location: On-site at an autonomous-vehicle auto repair shop and garage in Almaty, Qazaqstan

What you will do

• Establish and maintain a telemedicine-based system for mandatory driver medical examinations.
• Conduct HSE briefings and training for office and operational personnel.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during high-risk activities.
• Develop and maintain HSE documentation and manage hazardous waste handling.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, implement corrective actions, and conduct daily on-site walk-throughs.
• Coordinate with contractors, medical organizations, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of occupational health and safety experience, preferably in auto repair centers, dealerships, transport companies, or taxi fleets.
• Work experience in Qazaqstan and thorough knowledge of local occupational safety and environmental legislation.
• Ability to independently lead the Occupational Health & Safety function at the facility.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Full proficiency in Russian.

Nice to have

• Relevant degree in occupational health and safety or a related field.
• English and Qazaq language skills.
• Practical experience with drivers, mechanics, or electricians.
