Engineer I - Software (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Design and implement machine learning training and batch inference pipelines on Databricks using Spark and MLflow.
• Develop, deploy, evaluate, version, and monitor classification, regression, forecasting, NLP, and LLM-enabled workloads.
• Build embedding pipelines, semantic search systems, and retrieval-augmented generation workflows.
• Architect dbt Core transformation and data contract layers, including incremental models, snapshots, testing, freshness validation, and CI pipelines.
• Design and optimize bronze, silver, and gold Delta Lake pipelines, including governance, lineage, access control, and compute efficiency with Unity Catalog.
• Build secure AWS-based AI workflows, implement CI/CD, resolve production failures, and improve reliability, auditability, and resource utilization.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of professional experience in AI, machine learning, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
• Strong production experience with dbt Core and advanced SQL, including performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
• Experience building end-to-end AI/ML pipelines on AWS and proficiency in Python for machine learning and data processing.
• Experience deploying and monitoring AI workloads, including model and data drift monitoring.
• Ability to work onsite in Chandler, Arizona; travel requirement is 0%–25%.

• Experience with centralized, versioned feature datasets.
• Exposure to vector databases or LLM-based systems.
• Experience implementing model monitoring and drift detection frameworks.
• Experience supporting near-real-time AI systems.
