Engineering Manager, Proactive Security (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $193,800–$285,000 USD base salary per year, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Set and execute the technical vision and roadmap for Security Product Engineering pods, Bug Bounty, and Vulnerability Management teams.
• Coach and mentor security engineers as a player-coach while addressing Customer, Merchant, and Dasher security problems at a deep technical level.
• Build proactive security controls and secure-by-design capabilities across hirify.global products, including authentication, passkeys, AI guardrails, and secure remote tablet access.
• Partner with Product Engineering, Legal, Security Platform, Data, and cross-functional teams on security controls, bug bounty, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
• Build and maintain operationally excellent security services, including vulnerability management data lakes, with minimal downtime.
• Guide the secure and responsible adoption of AI tools from a proactive security perspective.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience as a Security Product Engineer at an internet-scale organization.
• 3+ years of demonstrated technical leadership managing teams and delivering outcomes at global scale.
• Technical leadership experience in Account Security, Product Security Engineering, and AI Security across B2C, B2B, and business-to-vendor environments.
• Experience designing scalable security controls and processes that meet regulatory requirements, including AI-enabled Security Review processes.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, investigative, communication, and root cause analysis skills.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
