Senior Data Engineer (Ab Initio / Snowflake)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support high-volume ETL/ELT solutions using Ab Initio and Snowflake.
• Build and maintain Ab Initio graphs, Plans, PSETS, Continuous Flows, batch frameworks, reusable components, transformations, DML files, XFRs, and PDL scripts.
• Manage Ab Initio EME and Metadata Hub metadata, lineage, impact analysis, and dataset mapping.
• Develop and optimize Snowflake capabilities, including Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, and Zero-Copy Cloning.
• Design data warehouse solutions using dimensional modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas, Data Vault, and source-to-target mapping.
• Troubleshoot production issues, support CI/CD and release management, and collaborate with technical and business teams on scalable healthcare data solutions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on Ab Initio development experience and 4+ years of Snowflake development and architecture experience.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, subqueries, stored procedures, dynamic SQL, query tuning, reconciliation, and data quality validation.
• Experience with Ab Initio EME/Metadata Hub, version control, sandbox management, check-in/check-out, and tag promotion.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting, including KSH/Bash, plus experience with Azure-based data environments.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, batch and real-time processing, API integrations, large-scale data movement, Git, CI/CD, automated deployments, and release management.
• Must be eligible to work and reside in the United States under the stated citizenship or immigration categories. Healthcare data experience across claims, membership, providers, health plans, benefits, and employer/group data is required.
