Consultant – Data Management | Snowflake

Location: Pune or Bangalore, India; hybrid work with US working-hour overlap

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake-based data management solutions for life sciences clients.
• Translate business and data requirements into data models, technical designs, transformation logic, and implementation plans.
• Own technical workstreams from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and operational readiness.
• Lead delivery across data ingestion, transformation, data warehousing, consumption, and reporting.
• Develop and review complex SQL and Python solutions while optimizing performance, scalability, data quality, maintainability, and cost.
• Guide L1/L2 team members, lead client discussions, resolve production issues, and contribute to planning, estimation, risk management, and delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, data management, or consulting.
• 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience, including Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, virtual warehouses, clustering, micro-partitioning, Time Travel, and data sharing.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with knowledge of data warehouse architecture, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Informatica, Talend, Matillion, or Fivetran, and orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Ability to support US-based clients with US working-hour overlap and independently lead technical workstreams while remaining hands-on.

Nice to have

• Life sciences, pharmaceutical, or healthcare data experience.
• Experience with MDM, data quality, data governance, reporting or semantic layers, and commercial data.
• Consulting or client-facing experience and Snowflake certification.
• Exposure to Databricks or PySpark.
