Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid schedule with office work generally Monday through Thursday and up to one day per week of telecommuting

Salary: $126,000–$199,750 annual salary for New York

What you will do

• Apply mathematical modeling, optimization methods, statistical analysis, and machine learning to support strategic business decisions.
• Analyze enriched datasets to identify trends, patterns, and useful proxies when direct measurements are unavailable.
• Build data processing, reporting, dashboard automation, and real-time insight pipelines using SQL, Python, and Airflow.
• Create visualizations and intuitive management reporting with Looker, Tableau, R, or Python.
• Partner with leadership, engineers, and data engineers to translate business needs into analytics solutions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Operations Research, Data Science, or a related field.
• Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in a related field plus two years of relevant experience.
• Experience with hypothesis testing, statistical analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
• Knowledge of network analysis, natural language processing, deep learning, stochastic models, Markov chain simulation, and robust optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL, big data processing, Python or R, and libraries including Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with Git, AWS SageMaker, S3, Tableau, and data visualization.
