Supervisor, Production (Medical Devices)

Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite production role

Annual salary: $85,000–$100,000

What you will do

• Supervise daily production inputs and outputs, including safety, line efficiency, production attainment, and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain capacity plans, control overtime, and ensure materials are used according to FIFO requirements.
• Identify product quality and employee workmanship issues and implement product, process, or procedural improvements.
• Maintain training records, coordinate cross-training, track productivity, and reassign staff to meet production demands.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Assurance on failure resolution and product support documentation.
• Conduct employee reviews, document personnel issues, support hiring, and provide procedural guidance to less senior employees.

Requirements

• Associate's degree with 8+ years of experience preferred, or high school diploma with 10+ years of experience required.
• At least 6 years of experience in electrical, electromechanical, and/or technical fields.
• At least 2 years of experience as a group leader or in an equivalent role.
• Knowledge of production equipment, tooling, and processes, plus demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read diagnostic data and technical schematics and set up and use test equipment.
• Experience with office software, databases, spreadsheets, manufacturing enterprise systems, and engineering change order interpretation.

• Quality System Regulation experience.
