Manager, Manufacturing Engineering (Medical Devices)

Salary: $115,000–$140,000 annually plus 15% STIP

What you will do

• Lead and develop manufacturing engineering teams responsible for sustaining engineering activities and projects.
• Design, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, and process transfers.
• Drive continuous improvement in product quality, productivity, production yields, standard costs, and resource utilization.
• Lead quality management system activities and support nonconformance investigations with Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering.
• Manage new product transfers from Research and Development to Manufacturing Engineering and coordinate vendor and equipment manufacturer relationships.
• Develop department expense and capital budgets, maintain safe operations, and mentor engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or process development environment.
• Experience with medical devices, preferably implantable devices.
• Strong project management, technical, negotiation, organization, problem-solving, and people-management skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to work with changing production schedules.
