PV Product Engineering Lead (AI)

Location: On-site in New York, NY; Austin, TX; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $208,000 – $263,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the selection and technology roadmap for silicon cell architecture (TOPCon, HJT, or back-contact).
• Build and maintain a rigorous loss-analysis and efficiency entitlement framework.
• Direct technical agendas for process, device physics, and characterization teams.
• Manage pilot line partnerships and oversee technology transfer from pilot to production.
• Set cell procurement specifications and drive supplier co-engineering.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in silicon PV cell technology.
• Proven track record of taking at least one cell architecture from concept to production.
• Expertise in building and defending full loss budgets (recombination, optical, resistive).
• Experience leading process transfers from pilot to production, including tool matching and yield management.
• Published or patented depth in passivation, contacts, or device design.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Lineage from SunPower/Maxeon, Fraunhofer ISE, ISC Konstanz, or UNSW.
• Experience with FEOC-clean supply chains or back-contact architecture.
• Direct experience with pilot line buildouts.
