Summer 2027 Supply Chain Buyer Intern - Bachelor's (Supply Chain)

Location: Austin, TX, United States. Relocation eligible. Candidates must have valid United States work authorization for the full internship period; visa sponsorship is not offered.

What you will do

• Support Supplier Account Managers, Procurement and Materials Managers, and Supply Chain Analytics for a 12-week summer internship.
• Complete supplier requests for quotations, prepare supplier profiles, and support supplier meetings, presentations, business reviews, and capacity reviews.
• Create, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders according to MRP requirements.
• Track material status, expedite deliveries, provide factory updates, and resolve purchase order, invoice, and receipt discrepancies.
• Analyze parts, MRP data, and spend to improve commodity assignments and supply chain practices.
• Support cost reduction, alternate sourcing, excess purchase order, and inventory mitigation through supplier collaboration and negotiations.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related major.
• Good academic standing; a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
• Creative and analytical problem-solving skills with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Strong listening, writing, quantitative, qualitative, and oral communication skills.
• Data analytics skills, including advanced Excel and working with multiple datasets.
• Valid US work authorization is required for the internship period; visa sponsorship is not available.
