Principal Specialist - Supply Chain (Buyer/Procurement)

Location: Mount Holly Springs, Pennsylvania, United States; 100% inside with 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. Travel required 0%–25%. Candidates must be US citizens, permanent US residents, or protected individuals under 8 USC 1324b(a)(3). The position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

What you will do

• Issue and manage purchase orders supporting internal manufacturing.
• Prepare RFQs and specifications, evaluate quotations, and prepare contracts meeting national and international requirements.
• Plan and execute commercial negotiation strategies with suppliers.
• Build relationships with manufacturing and planning teams to address supply chain risks and improvement areas.
• Monitor and report purchasing performance, lead supplier root cause analysis and corrective actions, and resolve accounts payable/receivable and delivery/receiving discrepancies.
• Drive process systemization and improvements in supply chain and ERP systems, including training colleagues on material flow setup and monitoring relevant economic, industrial, and market trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, plus 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, purchasing, or a related discipline.
• Business skills in finance and accounting techniques, research methods, and customer service strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams.
• US citizenship, permanent US residency, or protected-individual status under 8 USC 1324b(a)(3) is required due to US export controls.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 or INFOR LN.
• APICS certification such as CPIM, CFPIM, or CSCP.
