Location: Remote role associated with Livonia, Michigan, 48152

Salary: $21.95–$32.92 per hour

What you will do

  • Support initial and recredentialing applications by helping applicants submit required documentation.
  • Coordinate reappointment candidates and communicate with applicants and hirify.global RHMs to complete credentialing requirements.
  • Contact primary sources by phone, fax, mail, and internet to obtain verification information.
  • Perform file audits, prepare verification summaries, and draft RHM privilege forms.
  • Maintain accurate physician databases through data entry and data conversion.
  • Track errors and complaints and participate in credentialing process improvements.

Requirements

  • Two years of post-high-school education, training, or experience; an associate degree in health administration or a related field is preferred.
  • At least one year of healthcare work experience, including general knowledge of hospitals, physician practices, and managed care organizations.
  • Knowledge of NCQA and TJC standards, NPDB guidelines, hospital policies, and licensing regulations.
  • Experience with database organization and management, report generation, personal computers, and Windows-based word-processing software.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively while managing multiple changing priorities.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree in health administration or a related field.
  • Current CPCS and/or CPMSM eligibility through the National Association Medical Staff Services.
