Principal Product Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role based in Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; San Francisco, California; Washington, DC; or Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Salary: $254,000–$349,000 USD annual base salary for specified U.S. locations; additional ranges are listed for other U.S. locations and Canada.

What you will do

• Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Okta Identity Security products.
• Prioritize and deliver security features with architecture, engineering, design, scrum teams, and Technical Program Managers.
• Gather enterprise customer requirements, document use cases, and incorporate beta feedback into product iterations.
• Use product usage data and security outcomes to guide roadmap and investment decisions.
• Partner with sales, technical marketing, and product marketing on competitive positioning, packaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
• Support critical customer security needs, lead quarterly business reviews, and identify new product opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 8+ years of product management experience, including enterprise security products or services.
• Experience defining and driving threat protection, threat intelligence, SaaS security, and network security product suites.
• Experience launching new products, including go-to-market strategy, pricing, naming, legal contracts, and new product introduction.
• Strong technical background in security architectures, with the ability to influence technical design and investment decisions.
• Strong communication, leadership, executive presence, prioritization, mentoring, and cross-functional influencing skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a technical or business field.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise security products, cybersecurity frameworks, IAM, authentication, authorization, and threat detection standards.
• Experience developing customizable security user flows and multi-tenant SaaS security products.
