Community Editor & Strategist (Project Based)

Location: Remote-friendly; optional office work in Los Angeles or New York City.

Salary: $25 per hour, 40 hours per week. Three-month project-based contract with potential to extend.

What you will do

• Edit submissions from the hirify.global Community Creator Program to meet editorial standards for quality, accuracy, and style.
• Provide creators with editorial feedback, coaching, and best practices.
• Engage with contributors in Discord, answer questions, encourage participation, and build relationships.
• Moderate community content and comments to maintain a positive and inclusive environment.
• Curate high-potential content and use traffic and engagement data to guide editorial decisions.
• Collaborate with Audience Development and Editorial teams on creator initiatives, publishing strategy, and special projects.

Requirements

• Strong editing, grammar, proofreading, and written communication skills.
• Experience building relationships with online communities or creators.
• Understanding of engaging and shareable digital content.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms and digital publishing workflows.
• Interest in internet culture, fandom, online communities, and creator success.

Nice to have

• Experience editing user-generated or creator-produced content.
• Experience managing Discord servers, forums, or creator programs.
• Experience with social media community management across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter/X.
• Experience working with creators or influencers.
• Interest in audience development, analytics, SEO, and social strategy.
