Manager, Global Payroll (US Payroll and EOR)

Salary: $108,000–$150,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Operate and improve US payroll and global Employer of Record processes across countries, employee populations, platforms, and providers.
• Own payroll calendars, input cutoffs, funding readiness, processing timelines, reviews, approvals, and escalation paths.
• Process and review regular and off-cycle payrolls, termination calculations, new-hire onboarding, employee changes, and other payroll-impacting events.
• Coordinate payroll tax administration, registrations, notices, filings, payments, tax-rate updates, and reconciliations.
• Manage payroll, EOR, tax, and other provider relationships, including service quality, issue resolution, and escalations.
• Lead Payroll Specialists through workload allocation, coaching, performance management, career development, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Five or more years of relevant payroll experience with meaningful US payroll ownership and leadership or transformation experience.
• Hands-on US payroll processing experience, preferably with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable platform.
• Experience with global EOR or multi-country payroll operations and vendor relationship management.
• Working knowledge of US payroll taxes, filings, payments, state registrations, tax notices, tax rates, and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing payroll feeds or integrations with Workday, benefits platforms, retirement providers, or related HR and payroll technologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, judgment, organization, confidentiality, and cross-functional partnership skills; experience using AI to streamline processes and innovate.

Nice to have

• Payroll certification such as CPP or an international equivalent.
• Experience building cross-training, backup coverage, and succession practices within a payroll team.
• Experience in a high-growth, global, or rapidly changing organization.
• Experience improving payroll processes and automating manual processes and integrations.
