TL;DR
Associate Software Engineer (C++/Medical Devices): Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software modules and full-stack applications for cranial medical device solutions with an accent on C++17, Qt/QML, verification, and validation. Focus on debugging in laboratory and cadaveric settings, executing design verification procedures, and developing software that supports surgical solutions.

Location: Audubon, Pennsylvania, United States; on-site position. Travel up to 5% is required for cadaver labs and surgeries in the US.

What you will do

  • Design and develop software modules and components for cranial medical devices.
  • Deploy, maintain, and update full-stack software applications across multiple platforms.
  • Test, debug, and troubleshoot applications in laboratory and cadaveric settings.
  • Contribute to validation testing and execute software design verification procedures.
  • Manage assigned tasks through completion while following version control, toolchain, documentation, and quality-system requirements.
  • Attend surgical cases periodically to understand clinical context and end-user requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0–3 years of professional programming experience, or a master’s degree.
  • Object-oriented C++ development experience, including C++17 or later.
  • Development experience with, or willingness to learn, Qt and QML.
  • Comfort using, or willingness to learn, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and Git.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive, autonomous, organized, and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Medical device or life science experience.
  • Test-driven development experience.
