Referral and WorkQueue Coordinator (Epic EMR): Monitoring and updating patient referrals in Epic EMR, including referral status, scheduling information, and benefit details, with an accent on accurate routing, documentation, and coordination with the clinical team. Focus on identifying incomplete referrals, escalating required actions, and conducting ineligibility notification calls while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records.

Location: United States - Remote; Monday–Friday, 2–3 hours per day (10–15 hours per week)

Compensation: $20 per hour

What you will do

Monitor and maintain assigned referral WorkQueues in Epic.
Update referral status, scheduling information, benefit details, and related records.
Identify referrals with missing information and escalate them to the clinical team.
Conduct calls notifying patients about ineligibility and explain the outcome clearly.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR and internal health systems.

Requirements

Experience in a clinical administrative role.
Three years of experience with Epic or general EMR systems.
One year of experience with medical terminology.
Proficient computer skills, including Zoom, Google Suite, and EMR systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
