Principal Full-Stack Developer (Java/React)

Location: Mexico City or Guadalajara; hybrid position with office presence required in Mexico City at least 2 days per month.

What you will do

• Oversee all technical aspects of the authorization layer powering the global application and more than 70 mission-critical servicing applications.
• Implement the Point of Arrival (POA) authorization layer.
• Deliver features and enhancements across the global registration portfolio.
• Support a top-priority compliance initiative for the organization.
• Lead technical work across Java-heavy full-stack development using React and distributed systems technologies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience or comparable experience, including broad engineering experience and experience leading engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with application design, software development, and automated testing.
• Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or a related equivalent experience.
• Deep understanding of the authorization domain and industry standards, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
• 7+ years of Java experience, 3+ years of React experience, and 2+ years of RDBMS experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams, setting technical direction, and driving execution across multiple initiatives.
• Expertise designing and developing distributed systems focused on performance, scalability, and security.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization flows in enterprise-scale applications.
• Database migration experience and cloud experience.
• FinTech or banking domain knowledge.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with product, design, and information security teams.
