Principal Full-Stack Developer (Java & React)

Location: Mexico City or Guadalajara; hybrid position with office presence required in Mexico City at least 2 days per month.

What you will do

• Oversee the technical aspects of the authorization layer supporting the global application and more than 70 mission-critical servicing applications.
• Implement the Point of Arrival authorization layer.
• Deliver features and enhancements for the global registration portfolio.
• Support a priority organizational compliance initiative.
• Design and develop distributed, scalable, and secure systems across on-premises and cloud environments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience or comparable experience.
• 7+ years of Java experience, 3+ years of React experience, and 2+ years working with relational database management systems.
• Deep understanding of authorization domains and standards including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
• Experience with application design, software development, automated testing, distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Experience leading engineering teams and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring engineering teams, setting technical direction, and driving execution across multiple initiatives.
• Authentication and authorization experience in enterprise-scale applications.
• Database migration, cloud, DevOps, and CI/CD experience.
• FinTech or banking domain knowledge.
• Experience collaborating with product, design, and information security teams.
