Manufacturing Engineer, Materials Manufacturing (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own the manufacturing implementation and scale-up of materials manufacturing processes for Ceramic Matrix Composite production.
• Translate material and process requirements into repeatable manufacturing methods with Materials Engineering.
• Define equipment requirements and support design reviews, commissioning, and production readiness with Equipment Engineering.
• Create work instructions, process controls, production documentation, and technician training.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve process capability, yield, throughput, and equipment utilization.
• Develop production flow, cycle-time, capacity, and staffing plans while supporting validation, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Experience developing, improving, or scaling manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into practical manufacturing processes.
• Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements for access to U.S. defense-related systems and information.

Nice to have

• Experience with composites, ceramics, CMCs, carbon/carbon, or other advanced materials manufacturing.
• Experience transitioning processes from development into production.
• Experience with custom manufacturing equipment development, commissioning, or qualification.
• Familiarity with industrial controls, sensors, automation, manufacturing data acquisition, DOE, SPC, or process capability methods.
• Aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or other high-reliability manufacturing experience.
