Software Engineer (PNT)

Location: Onsite in Beavercreek, Ohio, United States. No relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually for Ohio.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain software for systems, simulations, and performance analysis environments.
• Develop physics-based algorithms for measurement modeling, error characterization, and estimator behavior under non-ideal conditions.
• Implement and integrate algorithms within software frameworks and connect software to external systems and hardware components.
• Integrate software with hardware-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, and digital twin environments.
• Support planning, execution, and analysis of PNT-focused experiments, demonstrations, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and hardware teams, and document designs, interfaces, technical activities, and test results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–7 years of professional experience developing software for technical systems.
• Proficiency in C#, C++, or Python and experience developing on Linux-based systems.
• Familiarity with PNT concepts, including GNSS, inertial navigation, timing, and sensor fusion.
• Experience integrating software with complex systems or external hardware components.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPS/GNSS signal processing, navigation algorithms, timing systems, or resilient PNT approaches.
• Experience with modeling, simulation, digital twins, real-time or embedded systems, or HITL/SITL test architectures.
• Experience supporting DoD programs, laboratory R&D, or operational prototyping.
