Location: Must be based in the Washington, D.C. area (Rosslyn, VA), with occasional travel to the Torrance, California headquarters and other locations as needed. The role requires U.S. Person status under ITAR or eligibility for a federally issued export-control license.
Salary: $100,000–$150,000 base salary per year, plus equity.

develops and mass-produces high-power satellite platforms for commercial and U.S. government missions ranging from low Earth orbit to deep space.
What you will do
- Support strategic communications, media efforts, communication materials, and major company announcements.
- Assist with government relations initiatives, including congressional meeting preparation, briefing materials, and follow-up.
- Plan and execute communications and public affairs campaigns, including content creation and timeline management.
- Create and manage visual assets such as promotional videos, official photographs, and website content.
- Monitor news, legislative activity, and policy developments and provide relevant feedback to leadership.
- Coordinate conferences, speaking opportunities, stakeholder meetings, briefings, media engagements, VIP visits, association memberships, and sponsorship tracking.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience supporting strategic communications and/or government relations.
- Experience using customer relationship management tools.
- Background in logistical, operational, or public affairs support for a congressional office, government agency, or think tank.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and provide operational support.
- Must be based in the Washington, D.C. area and meet applicable ITAR export-control eligibility requirements.
Nice to have
- Existing relationships with congressional staff, agency contacts, or press.
- Experience with media monitoring and press outreach.
- Experience supporting a startup or fast-scaling organization.
- Familiarity with space, defense, or aerospace policy.
