Cloud Security Developer

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States (hybrid); remote work is listed for Silicon Valley, the USA, or Canada. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary: $150,000–$183,000 base salary per year, plus potential bonus and equity participation.

What you will do

• Develop and enhance cloud security capabilities for the FortiCASB product, maintaining high availability and performance.
• Implement CASB features for cloud data protection, compliance enforcement, and threat detection.
• Optimize SaaS platform architecture for security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Integrate solutions with DLP and DSPM teams.
• Design APIs and microservices to improve automation and system integrations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, data processing, and security enforcement mechanisms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of experience in cloud security development or SaaS application development.
• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis, IAM, and VPC.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, Zero Trust models, and cloud security compliance frameworks including GDPR, SOC 2, and NIST.

Nice to have

• Experience with CASB, DLP, or SIEM security solutions.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with large-scale data processing, stream analytics, cloud security monitoring, identity and access management, or cloud compliance.
• Background in data mining, anomaly detection, or predictive analytics in security or cloud environments.
