TL;DR
Okta Technical Consultant (OCI/OWI) (Okta): Designing, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting Okta Workforce Identity solutions for enterprise customers with an accent on identity federation, access management, and scalable integrations. Focus on deploying SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and WS-Federation solutions, managing concurrent customer engagements, and resolving complex identity and access issues.
Location: USA; remote, with US-based resources potentially required to travel onsite up to 50%

What you will do
- Lead technical design, configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting of Okta solutions for enterprise customers.
- Gather and document post-sales requirements to design secure, scalable identity solutions.
- Design and implement identity federation and access management integrations using SAML 2.0, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and WS-Federation.
- Configure Okta integrations with SaaS, cloud, and on-premises enterprise applications.
- Manage multiple customer deployment projects, including scope, documentation, quality, and change management.
- Train customers, resolve escalated technical issues, and provide product feedback to Engineering and Product teams.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Technical Consultant delivering complex solutions for external customers.
- Hands-on experience implementing and deploying Okta solutions in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of identity federation, access management, identity lifecycle management, and enterprise security standards.
- Experience with cloud architectures, complex on-premises environments, REST/JSON APIs, and integration technologies.
- Strong consulting, communication, stakeholder management, and customer engagement skills.
- Valid Okta Consultant Certification is required. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Nice to have
- Okta Developer Certification, Workflows Specialty Certification, and hands-on Okta Workflows experience.
- Knowledge of Okta Identity Governance, Okta Access Gateway, Okta Privileged Access, or Advanced Server Access.
- Experience with Java, .NET, PHP, JavaScript, React, Angular, Ember, Node, or mobile application development.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude.
- CISSP certification and experience translating technical concepts into business recommendations.
