Principal Technical Consultant (AI/Cloud Platform Engineering)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations include Chicago, Illinois and New York, New York.

What you will do

• Lead client engagements from current-state assessment and solution framing through architecture, implementation, validation, and handover.
• Guide junior and mid-level consultants, review delivery work, set technical direction, and maintain accountability for engagement outcomes.
• Design and deploy enterprise Azure landing zones, including management groups, subscriptions, networking, policy guardrails, identity, and RBAC.
• Plan and execute Azure migrations using discovery, dependency mapping, right-sizing, migration waves, cutover runbooks, and post-migration validation.
• Build private, governed Microsoft Foundry and Copilot Studio environments with agent development, ALM, evaluation frameworks, and CI/CD promotion pipelines.
• Author architecture documents, roadmaps, runbooks, and governance evidence while presenting decisions to executives and running client enablement sessions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering or technical consulting experience, including 5+ years delivering Azure infrastructure, landing zones, or migrations.
• At least 18 months of experience delivering GenAI or agent systems to production.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Adoption Framework landing zones, Azure Migrate, enterprise networking, hybrid connectivity, compute, storage, databases, containers, identity, and security.
• Hands-on Microsoft Foundry experience, including the Azure AI Projects Python SDK, agent deployments, model catalogs, and Azure AI Search in isolated environments.
• Hands-on Copilot Studio experience with generative orchestration, environment administration, DLP, connector governance, agent identity, and solution-based ALM using pac CLI.
• Infrastructure as code and CI/CD ownership using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM, plus GitHub Actions, environment protection rules, and OIDC federation to Azure.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Azure, Terraform, or GitHub Actions certifications.
• Experience in regulated or confidentiality-driven industries such as legal, financial services, or healthcare.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, Application Insights tracing, the Copilot Agent Kit, Power Platform administration, or client AI governance boards.
