Contract Lead Azure Platform Engineer (Azure/Microsoft Fabric): Designing and delivering an enterprise-scale greenfield Azure platform that integrates with on-premise legacy infrastructure and enables future AI and data capabilities with an accent on secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architecture. Focus on implementing Azure landing zones, evolving the platform from discovery through delivery, and guiding Microsoft Fabric adoption and enterprise stakeholders.
Location: Remote, with required travel to Manchester for face-to-face time

What you will do
- Design and implement enterprise-grade Azure landing zones for a greenfield environment.
- Lead discovery, design, and iterative development of the Azure platform.
- Build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures aligned with enterprise best practices.
- Integrate Azure services with existing on-premise infrastructure and legacy systems.
- Define the platform roadmap with the Solution Director (AI & Data) and wider stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership and support adoption of Microsoft Fabric and associated Azure services.
Requirements
- Extensive experience architecting enterprise-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Proven expertise designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong experience integrating Azure with on-premise infrastructure and legacy systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and associated Azure services.
- Experience delivering greenfield cloud platforms from discovery through implementation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
