Senior Data Scientist

Location: Remote from Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia

What you will do

• Collect, clean, transform, and validate data from multiple sources while maintaining data quality and reliability.
• Build and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to generate insights and forecasts.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards for business leaders and stakeholders.
• Use Google Cloud Platform services to manage and optimize data pipelines and analytical solutions.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for extracting, analyzing, and transforming large datasets.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Business teams to translate business challenges into actionable data science recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services for data processing and analytics.
• Advanced Python and SQL proficiency for data manipulation, statistical modeling, machine learning, querying, transformation, and optimization.
• Experience developing statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
• Strong experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
• Experience with data preparation, transformation, and quality validation.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business problems into analytical approaches.
• Effective communication skills for explaining complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, plus effective multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Native Spanish proficiency and B2+ English proficiency in written and spoken communication.
