Sr Cloud Security Engineer I (Remote)

Location: United States; Remote. Work from home in a designated area with a reliable internet connection of at least 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.

Salary: $146,232–$180,000 gross annual full-time salary.

Healthcare and wellness services organization with an Information Security department focused on protecting cloud environments and supporting regulatory compliance.

What you will do

• Architect, implement, monitor, and maintain security solutions across Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Implement security controls and compliance tooling, including CSPM, CWP, CASB, next-generation firewalls, container security, and automated compliance tools.
• Design and implement security for Azure IaaS and PaaS offerings, including networking, hardening, monitoring, logging, and anomaly detection.
• Develop cloud security strategy and integrate security methodologies into network, system, application, and infrastructure projects.
• Partner with cloud, system engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, developers, and business units to reduce cloud security risks.
• Create and maintain cloud security documentation, policies, procedures, standards, and governance models.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; a high school diploma is required when using equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of enterprise cloud experience across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, with cloud security experience preferred.
• Experience with CSPM and CWP tools such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, AWS Security Hub, and AWS Config.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure Policy and/or AWS Service Control Policies, cloud networking, firewalls, load balancing, and container security.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, DevOps, CI/CD tooling, and hardening AWS and Azure services.
• Knowledge of the CSA Cloud Controls Matrix, CIS Cloud Benchmarks, HITRUST, NIST, ISO, PCI, host hardening, auditing, and cloud security monitoring.

Nice to have

• CCSP, AWS Certified Developer, CSA Certified System Administrator, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience establishing security guardrails for artificial intelligence cloud architecture.
