AI Systems Researcher/Engineer (ML)

What you will do

• Shape and improve AI systems performance evaluations and optimizations across desktop and mobile.
• Work on browser ML models, novel AI applications, and on-device AI agents.
• Optimize and evaluate ML models and privacy and security technologies for on-device performance.
• Create and deploy mobile and desktop applications and systems.
• Apply data-driven product development and current systems and networks knowledge.
• Collaborate with privacy and security researchers to protect users from AI risks.

Requirements

• Background in AI systems research and performance evaluation.
• Experience with software development practices using Python, C++, JavaScript, and/or Rust.
• Experience implementing data-driven products and deploying mobile or desktop applications and systems.
• Experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLX, ONNX Runtime, Core ML, or TensorRT.
• Ability to work comfortably in an open-source setting and follow a disciplined, scientific approach.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in computer science, particularly from a top-tier school.
• Open-source projects focused on mobile or desktop systems optimization.
• Experience with confidential computing and security or privacy protocols.
• Strong publication record in systems, performance, or ML.
• Industry experience.
