TL;DR
Data Analyst (SQL/SAS): Delivering and validating complex data extracts, reports, and analytical solutions for client, operational, and business objectives with an accent on data transformation, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, and governance. Focus on investigating data issues, performing root cause analysis, managing delivery risks, and mentoring junior analysts.
Location: Nottingham, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 40% office-based attendance

What you will do
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and translate business requirements into effective data deliverables.
- Deliver data extracts, reports, proof-of-concepts, and analytical outputs to agreed quality, scope, and timelines.
- Use SQL, SAS, and other analytical tools to interrogate, transform, and validate complex datasets.
- Investigate data issues and client queries, perform root cause analysis, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Plan and prioritise multiple deliveries, estimate effort and timelines, monitor progress, and escalate risks.
- Support governance, compliance, audit, documentation, knowledge sharing, and the development of junior analysts.
Requirements
- Strong SQL and/or SAS programming skills.
- Experience working with complex datasets and data transformation processes.
- Strong analytical skills and experience investigating and resolving data-related issues.
- Ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to apply data validation, quality assurance, governance, and risk-control practices.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python, R, VBA, or other data technologies.
- Experience delivering data solutions in a client-facing environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality management.
- Experience mentoring junior colleagues or working in project and change delivery environments.
